When a dude like Barry roids up and crushes single season and career records by cheating... you don't get to go to the HoF. All the life long glory of being in the HoF and being, unquestionably, regarded as one of the GOATS of the game... he spent all that future equity by juicing up during his playing career.

So it's fine if all of the pitchers and other hitters in Bonds' era 'roided up but it's not fine for him because he happened to be (much) better than all of them at the same time?
