As soon as I saw they'd brought Perine in for the play, I knew what the play was. It was going to be one of those patented, "If it isn't there, run it" plays for PM where you give him the option to pass for the first down or go down to keep the clock running.

The only question was left or right. And then when you saw Perine cut across the formation at the snap, you knew that the rollout was gone so you KNEW where Mahomes was going with the ball.

Maybe if Elam comes off the route, he fires it on the quick slant to Brown, but if that's the case, that defense was in an impossible situation where SOMEONE was going to be wide open.

How? How do you send 4 and still leave the RB uncovered? On the kind of play design that we all knew was coming.
