The folks against this pick were against it because it's so damned unlikely, but aren't rooting for him to fail. It's just a HUGE risk.
After sleeping on it, I'm a bit more philosophical about things. No risk it, no bisquit. I'm trusting Veach and Burkholder and I assume they have information that we don't.
If this works out, it's maybe the second best pick in the Andy Reid era. If it doesn't, well, it's not like we haven't had other first round disappointments.
In a vacuum, it doesn't seem like a risk worth taking; the chance of success is so low. But it's not a vacuum, it's an individual, and I'm trusting the doctors here.

I think we all know it’s a big risk. I don’t think anyone wants him to fail to be proven right. I just think the part that’s missing in that debate is that taking any LT late in the first round has high bust potential. We can either be scared to take those risks or we can take a few swings at it. It just sets up for the same thing we did at qb year after year where we kept waiting for the right qb to fall into our lap. Maybe next year… we said every year. It’s a little safe to not take a big bold risk at a position we’ve proven we can’t fill otherwise
This is such a rare opportunity for us to take a shot at a guy with this kind of a ceiling. I’m ok even if it misses. We played this smart that worse case scenario we can “settle” for Jaylon Moore
