Every time I hear politicians lobby for increasing the minimum wage, I think about seniors that need care. 24x7 in-home care in CA costs $25K/month.
I'm in the business of helping families to find assisted living and memory care and costs have risen by a lot since covid, and it's harder then ever to find caregivers. It's not a racket at all, and lower cost communities do exist, but you get what you pay for.
