TE is a great question. I expected to have deep thoughts about one early, but just didn't like how the board fell. Loveland and Warren were out of striking distance, I don't like the implications of Taylor to the Jets that I would be inheriting, and Arroyo didnt fall enough (I absolutely would have taken him at 63 if I didn't have to maneuver). When Kelce retires, I'm going to be in a world of pain.
I actually feel pretty good at S and LB. OL and DL do need some TLC, but are serviceable to get me through another year. If this were a real team, hitting on another Edge who can apply pressure, a starting caliber CB, and someone with pulse at WT would make a bigger impact on the W/L column.
RB surprised me too. I've always liked this year's class, but it's not a big position of need for the Trash Pandas today as you pointed out. However... Hall is in a contract year and is developing minor injury history. He also has a lot of miles dating back to college. Recent NFL precedents show a quick cliff might be approaching. The Jets have vocalized that they will be going RBBC this year. I could very easily see him slipping into obscurity if the cards fall the wrong way this year. While I like Chase Brown, I think Tahj supplants him by the end of the year. I liked the value of Johnson or Skatebo, and Tahj is simply a later round lottery pick I liked. I didn't expect to take a RB, let alone two, but I liked how the value landed. Given my awful WR drafting, the Trash Pandas may be angling towards a 21 personnel base scheme!
