I have to say this about Isbel. Having been his biggest detractor for the past few years, he has played a passable Center this year and at the plate he is average, which is essentially his ceiling. Isbel's problem has always been guilt by association. He generally plays good enough defense and does enough of what you would expect from a 9 hole hitter to not be an issue. But because his OF mates suck so badly at most facets of the game (Waters is looking like an exception), he gets lumped in as sucking along with them. If Isbel was surrounded by OFs who could, you know, hit...no one would really care what he was doing so long as he wasn't a liability, which he isn't.
