It was a small school(Pleasant View Junior high for the springfield planeteers) and I had a reputation as being capable of anything. Scared most people off from challenging me.
Reason I quit is I use to pitch baseball. I threw the ball really fast. kids were scared to get in the batters box against me because I didn't have very good control. I soon figured out that if I hit one of the batters that it would scare the rest of their team and all I had to do was throw strikes. One day I broke a kids arm. I never bullied another kid after that day.
On a positive note. I use to drive a clunker and it was always in the shop. The guy always treated me well. Gave me breaks on stuff and went out of his way for me. One day he asked me if I knew why he did theses things. I had no idea. I thought this was just the way he was. Turns out he was one of the kids that I stopped the other kids from bullying and he was grateful. Said it made a big difference in his life to not live in fear from the bullies.
