I couldn't care less who you and Mark like and who you don't.... but to say all of the things you two say is a matter of opinion...which is very different from actual truth. Everyone is welcomed to their opinion, that doesn't make their opinion true.
To say Kiss is a talentless band is evidence that you've never actually listened to much of their music. I'm not talking about the "hits." I'm talking about the whole body of work. Calling them talentless may be your opinion....but it's certainly not true.
Kiss was hardly "to blame" for the hair band craze. That's just a reeruned stereotypical comment from someone who admits to not liking that type of music and I'm sure therefor based that comment on nothing more than linking one to another because it was convenient.
The hair band thing actually started on the Sunset Strip where the "new breed" of rock bands were popping up. Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet" album and specifically the song "You Give Love A Bad Name," along with Quiet Riot's "Cum On Feel The Noise" were the first songs to cross over from the clubs to the video shows and pop charts. This was all born out of the irreverent and decadent attitude coming out of LA and the Sunset Strip area specifically. KISS was doing a very different brand of music from these bands and doing it in New York. So to call KISS the cause of the hair band craze is just ignorant.
That's the dumbest thing about these musical arguements...opinion is way more important than actually knowing anything.
