Fresh, inventive and a joy to watch. Tons of rollicking fun.
“The Empire Strikes Back”
The best film of the series, IMO.
“Return of the Jedi”
A limp remake of “A New Hope” with teddy bears.
“The Phantom Menace”
A two-hour toy commercial. Jar-Jar Binks. Drek and crap.
“Attack of the Clones”
Better than “The Phantom Menace.”
“Revenge of the Sith”
The saga ends with a whimper instead of a bang.
While Lucas started out great, he peaked with “Empire,” and it has been a long, slow slide into mediocrity ever since. Taken as a whole, the Star Wars Saga is a disappointment. Despite amazing advances in technology and staggering amounts of money invested in the franchise, the promise of the first two films was lost in those that followed.
