i dont know where your from, but most local agencies here that have employed taser in their tools have it lower on thier "use of force" ladder than actual hands on. Tasers give maxium stopping power with little to no injury and no officer hands on. Pepper spray can actually have adverse effects on people who are allergic to pepper, and part of its design is to partially constrict the airways to take attention away from the officer. Those can somtimes totally close.
he reacted to whom he thought was the "Primary Agressor", i would have probably done the same. Sorry man!
he will probably at least get probation and around 30 to 60 days in jail for assault, at least if it were in this county.
