I understand Gun's approach. He's not asking KM to be the best player on the field he's just asking him to be able to communicate to his teammates. Isn't that what the MLB does in Guns's scheme? It goes much deeper than that, calling plays is just part of it, reading at the line and adjusting the players is another. Making tackles helps alot too !
If in fact the light has gone off in KM head, he should shine, it's never been a question on ability, it's always been a mental part of his game that was lacking.
