I'm not predicting failure here, Anne Rice is actually talented enough that I could see her possibly pulling off a Christ book that is interesting enough to draw an audience, but this is an unbelievably huge career gamble. Perhaps she just simply ran out of ideas for the Vampire chronicles and/or got bored with it. She's already made her money, she can afford to write for herself now. |
