I was on the "Real" waiting list from about 1992 - 1996.

I spent 1997 -1998 up in the upper deck, in the corner of the end zone about 5 rows from the top.

1999 - 2004 was on the 50 yard line but 3 rows from the top of the stadium in the upper deck.

2005 Now I'm in the lower bowl over by the tunnel one section over not to far from Weirdwolf, FDE etc.

2006 I expect to get the oppertunity to improve again.

Why is the demand not the same?

Performance - 12 years without a playoff win. Underperforming teams.

Price - I pay $2,200 for three tickets. Before you factor in parking, beer and tailgating supplies. As mentioned before with the Sprint layoffs and the economy being down Chief tickets are a non essential purchase to a family. Luckily I'm in a good enough financial position to keep purchasing the tickets. But are there 72,000 more of us next year?

Why are there still 79,000 at games?

It's a social event in KC. Kudos to the marketing genius of King Carl. Tailgating at arrowhead is a wonderful experience.

People still love their Chiefs despite their record in the playoffs.

It's KC, What else is there to do thats as much fun?

I expect them to sell out again next year but the year after that who knows? Maybe we will see black outs again here in KC during the rebuilding process.
