I guess you must not have test driven a V-6 accord, because they ARE quicker than Maximas:
2006 Nissan Maxima SE (4D Sedan 6sp)
0-60 time: 6.30,
2006 Honda Accord EX V-6
0-60 time: 5.9 (Appliance?)
Maybe you just WANTED the maxima to be faster?

Bottom line is both Cars are Reliable, so you can't make a bad choice. Drive them both, and pick the one that "FEELS" best to you.
