This is NOT a big deal.
He's just asking, he's not throwing a TO-like hissy fit and demanding things.
It has nothing to do with being "bigger" than the league. This is how change happens, people see something stupid and ask for it to be changed.
Plus, anyone should be able to wear a single-digit number, they just look cooler. I want to see DJ wear #5 and Surtain wear #2.
...and for those of you comparing the NFL to your job, DON'T.
the NFL is as far from a regular job as you can get.
they are entertaining people, not building a Ford Mustang or debugging software.
