The problem is, the vast majority of these "warning signs" are displayed by countless ****ed-up, depressed teenagers across the country. The problem is identifying the few who truly are about to snap.
I find all of this stuff utterly fascinating, and at the same time incredibly sad. It's perhaps a bit more comforting for people to think of them as inhuman monsters, but the fact of the matter is that they were both as human as it gets. They were hurting, they were sociopathic, and they chose the absolute worst way possible to deal with their problems... but they were people.
