Just ****ing pisses me off, we sat in their stupid after hours clinic till 10:30pm last night because she had a temp for a better part of a week after seeing her PCP Monday and being pushed off by them. Then the Doc send us home saying its just a virus and nothing to worry about... Now, they are seeing if there is a bed open for her.

I'm sorry to hear that Morphius...the poor 'lil thing.
But stay calm and quiet around her...this is soooo important.
My understanding is that a fever that rises TOO quickly is more of the problem than just a high fever itself. It's the body's natural mechanism for fighting what a person has. If it helps you two to feel better, you can cool her down with a cool wet cloth regulary. My daughter had one up to 104 at that age.
Managed care sucks though.
