having the OPPORTUNITY to win, as Herm did, and not risking it is what makes that game so offensive (pardon the pun)....I'm not the pessimist, i'm saying Herm did everything right...and then refused take the last step, which is the riskiest...and not taking a chance(s) makes the whole effort freaking pointless....cue the Martyball theme music....

It's quite simple:
Herm had a chance to win the game and BLEW IT.
But you can't blame Herm in one hand for losing the game unless you're willing to give him credit for being in that situation in the 1st place. Lord know our previous coach couldn't do it.
