Okay, maybe "fair" isn't the right word... I agree that it doesn't matter if the best 2 teams in the nation are in the same conference... but unfortunately with this system, you don't
know who the best 2 teams are. It's hilarious that so many people here are so sure OSU is going to beat UF 70-0 (on the day we lose to the Browns nonetheless), because given one game, nobody knows.
I think this is the closest we get to a playoff, and I like that... the #2 lost, so OSU gets to play the next best. If UF gets blown out then everyone can look at OSU/Michigan from a couple of weeks ago as the "real NC game".... and OSU would be the champion either way.
