I think Whitlock is right; it's not that we
can't bring a pass rush....I just think they chose to be very "vanilla" with their approach on Sunday--not wanting to show too much to the Ravens and/or Chargers.
I think they were arrogant enough to think they didn' "need" to bring a pass rush....
I mean, sure the front four "tried" to get to the Cleveland QBs--as Herm said in the post-game....
But when they can't get to the QB, they need to mix it up with more stunts and blitzes. They sat on those Sunday. SAT on them.
FTR, I'm not saying we are one of the better pass rushing teams in the league, but if we need to.....we
CAN get at the QB. On Sunday we chose not to get after the QB. That's just inexcusable in my mind.
If you doubt me, watch them the rest of the season. Seriously.
