Honestly, I have no idea. I was just a little kid at the time. It'd be interesting to find out though. (My great grandma passed about 8 years go. Pa... many years before that)
I think sports have changed a lot since then. Being a Red Coater was more like being a booster for the local highschool football team. Before free-agency, salary caps and all that.
