Maybe the first couple tournaments he would be thrilled to place in the money enough to cover his entry fee. After that, he would probably expect to place higher, to do better, and to win more money. Otherwise, why bother? He could spend his time in some other pursuit.
I don't play fantasy football, but the Chiefs have met your #1 priority of a "winning" season for the past several seasons. That goal has been met. Time to set a new goal.
