The only thing I'm doing is refuting the 19th Century ideal that War somehow brings out the best in people. It doesn't in this country, and it doesn't in any other country.
But, let's entertain your thesis about just America:
How then, do you reconcile internment camps? Were they just large collectives for the Japanese to experience boy scout life?
What about the US lacing the milk suppy with strontium 90 and giving it to pregnant women so that they could study the effects of radiation on women and their fetuses?
