I will more than likely see this. Not because I'm a pedophile and I want to see a 12-year-old being raped, but rather because I like seeing movies that make me feel something other than happy. I like to use my brain in a movie... no, I love it.
I love being drawn into a film and made to feel what the characters are feeling. That's part of what made me want to make movies. I want to do that for people. I want to entertain them. I want to make people laugh and cry and make people mad. But most of all, I want to make people think.

I understand your point. I like movies like Serenity and Donnie Darko because they break from the norm. Both of those movies had feature characters die in the end. I don't have a problem with that. It keeps things interesting. Most Hollywood flicks have the star coming out unscathed at the end. And that's okay if you know what you're getting into. But I like the occasional break from the norm.
As far as making you think, that's okay, too. But I don't really want to think about a little girl getting raped. I know that is a problem in real life. Still, I don't want that kind of image in my head. For that reason, I won't be seeing this movie.
