I wasn't 'entertained' by Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Kids, Bully, Gummo, In the Company of Men, The War of the Roses, Seven, any number of dark slices of the human experience. Or even more in documentaries such as Brother's Keeper, Capturing the Friedmans, even Gimme Shelter. But I often took something away from it that was moving or cautionary or unsettling, or otherwise memorable. Can't say that of every movie I see.

That's the problem, the much of the public is satisfied with the trash being produced now days. I for one refused to be duped into spending my hard earned money on garbage. I'm guessing that crime and the filth committing crime didn't just begin their act recently. It's been going on since the beginning of time. I'm sure we agree on that fact. So why is it NOW okay that producers sensationalize this trash? If I feel shitty leaving the theater, I'm pissed.
