FWIW, if your "an NFL cretan" and your overly concerned about public image because of past bad experiences what would be safer choice for your halftime show than a guy who USED to be wild/hip with a certain crowd that is now in its mid to upper thirtys than Prince, who happens to have become much more religious in recent years and has tried to clean up his act? SOunds logical to me.
