If you want to play Xbox Live after modding, you should go with a mod chip. Otherwise, go with a soft mod. It's much easier, and you can still play online games, just not on Live servers. I've got all the software you'd need, including the retail 007:AUF disk, and the memory save that works with it.

I've done over a dozen Xboxs, both mod chips, TSOP soldering, and soft mod. I've got a Xenium chip in mine, with a 250 GB HD. But if you decide on a chip, I'd go with the Executer 3. It's got a switch that disables the mod chip and let's you run retail games on Xbox Live.

I've got all the emulators you could want... Atari, MAME, NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis. That includes thousands of emulator games.

I've also got backups of about 75 Xbox Games...

I know nothing about the PS2 though, can't help you there. But if you need any more info, or you'd like help with software, copies of games or something, let me know. I'd be glad to help you out.
