The likely candidates IMO, in no particular order:

1. Beason. Should be an excellent cover 2 LB. I don't have faith that Harris can stay healthy, plus DE is at the downside of his career. Would probably be a rotational player until Nap gets hurt, DE is moved to the middle and Beason gets the start on the outside.

2. Blalock. 4 year starter. Should be a pro bowl guard. Played RT (which suddenly becomes a position of need) for 2 years and never gave up a sack. No character issues and is extremely smart. Everything you want in a player, except for the fact he is most likely a guard with the possibility of RT.

3. Reggie Nelson. Superb athlete that brings it on Sunday. Lots of reports he will slip to KC. Arguably not a position of need, but IMO it is tough to pass on a player that could be the next Reed.

4. Charles Johsnon, DE. I know 99.9% of people will disagree with me valuing him this high. I just think he is this year's Tamba Hali. Good effort, hard worker, etc. NFL.COM link

Q: Herm, back on December 25th you were asked if Trent Green was your starter going into next season and you said, ‘yeah, why wouldn’t he be?’ Have you changed your mind on that?

EDWARDS: No, I have not.”
