I understand that completely. Especially this year. Johnny Miller got much play this year due to the return of the US Open to Oakmont, where he shot his final round 63.

Crenshaw, while a great player and sentimental favorite after winning The Masters a few weeks after his golf mentor died, was never the player Tom was in his prime.

For several seasons, and even this weekend, the announcers mentioned numerous times that when Watson hits the ball, he strikes it so cleanly, that it makes a much different sound than any of his competitors. And because of Tom W's bad hip, he rarely practices any more.
