Just because some of those teams had circus offenses, doesn't mean they needed the output. Sure, it was fun to watch, but in the end, they could have won with a average offense.

In the history of the Super Bowl, only TWO teams have ever made the game (not WON the game, just MADE the game) by allowing over 20 ppg.

I'd like to know how many of those teams made it to the Super Bowl by averaging less than the league average for PPG....

If your 16ppg thesis is correct, then why did every team who won...save 1 average well over 20, with a low of just less than 19 (The Bucs).
