Memphis was up 31-6 at the half against Arkansas ****ing State. We were absolutely dominant. We then proceeded to essentially forfeit the game, being outscored 29-0 in the second half with such gems as "It's 3rd down, time to let their QB run for another first," "Oops, our punt inside the 10 got called back; let's just let them run this back for a TD so they have some hope," "Hey, 3rd and 9, let's run an option to the short side," and "Well, I guess we'll burn our last timeout with the clock already stopped because our coaches didn't have us prepared!"
I now have something that makes the squandered 17-0 lead against the Eagles seem tolerable. The Tommy West DeAngelo Williams era is over.
