This is exactly what's wrong... "If we play a near-perfect game, we
might have won!". The whole point is that we had the chance to win in the 4th, and we folded up. And if we're in the same spot in a couple of years, Herm will do the same thing, because he's always been afraid of taking a chance, and he'll never learn.
50/50 chance of winning any game in the 4th quarter... keep both teams in the game, and try to win in the end. He even said it in his postgame.
