Steinbach - elite guard, high-priced FA ... I don't like our chances.
Shaffer - decent RT, high-priced FA ... not sure we can even get someone of his caliber in this offseason
Winslow - Gonzalez
Edwards - Bowe
Jurevicius - we really need a decent No. 2 threat
Anderson - I'm not extremely high on Anderson and feel he's more of a system QB, but can Brodie be that guy? Maybe ... as I said, a lot of luck is involved, too.
You're asking a lot to be the Browns. They accomplished that over two years, predominantly, with a lot of money spent and two top-three picks. We won't even have one.

Not really.
Edwards, Winslow and Anderson were all there prior to this season. Jurevicius is an OK reciever but is benefiting more from single coverage IMO.
THE biggest difference in the Browns last year and this year is Thomas and Stienbach both of whom were aquired last season.
You don't think this offense would be SIGNIFICANTLY better with a line of:
LT--Draft choice the caliber of Thomas
LG-Waters
Center-Weigmann
RG-Solid FA the caliber of Steinbach
RT-McIntosh
Add in another year's seasoning for Croyle and a MUCH better backfield and they may not approach the Browns (after all, Herm is still the coach) but the performance would like be night and day IMO.
