I don't see a real difference in what bowl either team ends up in. Both teams exceeded expectations for this season and should be happy to be playing in New Year's day bowl games. The BCS has always been garbage, but that's nothing new. The biggest difference is that MU will likely win their bowl game, and KU will likely get the shit pounded out of them. Missouri will end the season ranked in the top five, and KU will fall to the late teens.
MU Winning their bowl game will help them get a high ranking in next season's initial polls. In the messed up world of college football, that initial ranking actually matters since it gives those ranked teams a leg up over unranked teams.
