It wasn't speculation. A source inside the Chiefs organization told us Karl Dorrell had been hired. Maybe multiple sources. Maybe it was freaking Herm. I don't know.
My guess is something happened before pen was put to paper. Whatever. By the way, I wrote the article, so if you really want to blame someone, blame me.
