Anthony Loyd's My War Gone By, I Miss it So
Evan Wright's Generation Kill
Even though Loyd is a better writer than Wright, the account of what happens in the fog of war, and the unbelievable incompetence displayed by the leadership in
Generation Kill made for a more interesting read.
I'm interested to see what David Simon does with
Generation Kill.
And saving the best for last,
Michael Herr's Dispatches.
