We don't know if that's exactly the case but he did drop it on the Losties so that they could help him.
A few other thoughts from last night:
The Freighter and the Black Rock seem to have a lot in common. Explosives are at the forefront.
I loved Hurley's Odometer. Plus the fact that the O-6 had been alone for 108 days (for those of you who hadn't gone this far, the numerical value of the word "Lost" is 108).
There was talk of "Five different banks" just before Sun made her revelation to her father. Could the "Five" represent the other O-6?

I think it's possible
that Aaron isn't one of the Oceanic Six and there's one more person to be revealed.
The "reveal" involving Claire could not have been less interesting.
Jin and Michael still
don't like each other much.
Ben was signaling Richard and the Others.
Ben is a friggin' genius.
