Don't you remember in '02 when our D was horrible and we didn't sign any D help because we spread Holmes and Greens signing bonuses over 2 years?

Would have been nice to retain home grown talent like Allen that doesn't require going to the open market. He proved he was willing to sign a deal that limited the risk of a 1 year suspension if you look at the deal he signined with the Vikes.
Well those show the numbers for this year which ya we have the most cap room and it's kind of good for a change. Again, i blame a horrible stretch of drafts as the culprit not free agency. Besides, the big named defensive players signed in that offseason by other teams turned out to be MAJOR busts...hugh douglas and troy vincent ring a bell????
