To tell ya the truth, i didnt like any on that list but LL Cool J, even him he only had a few good songs. Again, my opinion. I liked the "gangster rap" era. I grew up in that kind of environment. My whole family on my dad's side is pretty much gang related. I didnt grow up in Los Angeles like they did, i grew up in Central/Northern Cal and in the "hood" part of town. I pretty much have seen it all and i can relate to just about anything they "rap" about. I have had family members die due to the gang shit and alot of other things. Its just basically talking about life and how ****ed up it is becuase of where you were born and what you had to do to live. I have done some pretty shady things when i was younger, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do. Then when rap became very very mainstream. ALl they did was talk about about partying and how much cash they have. For me, thats where it went wrong.
