Nokia makes a good phone. Toshiba also makes a decent phone.
I got an iPhone because I got tired of taking a cell and an iPod everywhere. I wanted to combine the two into a single item; iPhone did that for me. Plus I'm a tech geek and find gadgets kewl ;-)

Optimally, what I would like to get is an itty bitty phone that fits in my pocket nicely with AMAZING reception. The only functions I really want are bluetooth, and a phonebook.
But since those phones don't exist, I'm thinking about a smartphone. I have a PDA but don't take it much anymore because I have a desk job now. But could still use the functionality (for personal stuff at my desk). I'm not really sure I want to pay the extra $ for it.
