I don't really have a problem with Favre here, the Packers are doing all they can to keep him retired. If they don't want him then move him, and there is no way they can bring him back as the backup. That puts the most ridiculous pressure in the world on Rodgers, if he screws up once we know what happens...
If Favre goes to camp with them he's their starter, period. All this stuff right now is posturing. Their GM is being hard headed because Rodgers was his first pick as a GM, he's acting more committed to that player than he is about winning.
Odds are Favre will be their starting QB at the beginning of the year, if he's not and Rodgers sucks, this is the kind of thing that gets people fired...We'll see but right now I don't see any side as more right than the other, they both have their points but in the end they're a better team with Favre.
As a Chiefs fan you should hope he comes back because it makes Rodgers an option for next season, a likely much better one than we currently have.
