I think Croyle is good for what you want to do until your line gets good. After that you guys will be able to go get a real QB in the draft. I am almost certain this is the long term plan: use the gimicky mobile QB where he makes a few easy throws and roll him out a lot to play down the weaknesses on the line. After a few years when the line is solidified and the defense is established, you draft a legit QB prospect and take the offense to the next level. It's not a bad plan. It's taken Croyle several years and he still doesn't look better than guys drafted with him and even after him. You can say it's all the line, but even when they wanted him to win the job he couldn't.
