Indeed, personal responsibility is an important issue that must be addressed in Black America. But to pretend that social responsibility has no place at the table is ridiculous.
Whitlock acknowledged there were people in the black community who viewed him as you seem to view him. To use his words, some view him as an Uncle Tom. If this does not accurately portray your view please disregard.
Question: what do you mean when you say social responsibility comes in to play here. Social responsibility on whose part?
