Dad was hunting about 30 - 40 miles east of you sat morning and took an old 8 point that was 19ish inches wide and 16ish inches tall. Said that two bucks came running past him about 45 minutes after shooting time. He
thinks he shot the bigger of the two but didn't have time to count points. The other deer was real close to the same size. He said they both ran between 30-40 yards from him and everything happened real quick. Dad's shot deer with more points, but this is the biggest he's ever shot. Asked him if he was going to take it to a taxidermist but he said he just wacked the horns off because it would cost too much. Cheap old man, the scope on his rifle probably cost as much as the taxidermist's bill would have.
