One of my best friends in college hung himself about a month after graduation in his parents attic. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia and killed himself that same week of the diagnosis. So sometimes there are things working behind the scenes that we don't fully realize.
I still miss my friend very much, and feel for you, all his other friends and his family.
