It doesn't account for the Wii, that's mostly the result of Nintendo's own market strategy, but Sony ****ed up.

ONe could argue it was just ahead of its time. Which technically was a bad thing in hindsight. Though MGS4 was excellent (and I hated that series up to that point) it didn't even come close to utilizing what the system is really capable of. The devs still don't really know how to program for it, which is why most everything is just a port from the 360 and PC.
Doesn't mean it is a bad system. Just not what it should be at this point.

Dumping PS2 support might have actually helped. I thought MS was crazy when they dropped the original XBOX but it paid off in the long run.
