Their conference is a fraud (yes I know the BIG 10 sucks as well) and they are really the only good (many times great) team year after year. It angers me because these games could be a tremendous economic boost for some towns that really need them (which in my eyes wouldn't include southern cal).

Take Ford Field in Detroit for instance (It's a Dome, so you southerners won't freeze.), you could play a BCS game there and it would help the local economy. People would still tune in (It's not like people are going to say, well I don't like watching inclimate destinations on TV) and watch the game. Sure, maybe the benefit to the local economy woulnd't be as big, because people are less likely to travel to Detroit in winter than to Southern Cal, but it would be better than nothing. I really cannot think of one rational reason not to have a BCS game in either the midwest or northeastern part of the country.
That's one reason I'd like to see a playoff... they could ship teams off to regionals like March Madness. There would be a lot more excitement, and the NCAA would get more money, because you would be adding games to the 84 current bowls.
