A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that football used to make me smile.
And I knew if he had his chance
That Carl could make those people dance
And, maybe, they'd be happy for a while.

But January made me shiver
With every playoff he'd deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep;
Our kicker had no instep.

I can't remember if I cried
When I read how all our playoffs died,
But something touched me deep inside
The day that Carl said bye.

So bye-bye, mr arrogant guy.
Drove my car to Arrowhead,
But the parking was high.
