I've thought about it. And it's still a bad argument. So your argument is that any 2nd-day pick QB who doesn't make the Super Bowl in his first season of starts should be benched?
I don't care about the circumstances behind a player starting. What I know is that Thigpen got a chance and he played reasonably well, given his experience level. Who cares if he started because Croyle and HUard got injured, or if one of them got caught sleeping with Huard's sister, or if Thigpen murdered the two starters to get his chance to start. Who cares what the circumstances are behind a player starting are.
