Sure, but there are also plenty of spot up shooters he will have the ability to guard.

Of course. But can we agree that Releford will be little more than a defensive specialist in his time at KU? He's not scorer. And we also know that to play defense for a Bill Self team, you have to do it really, really well, or you're not going to play. Now Morningstar has had two seasons (one as a redshirt) to learn how to play Bill Self defense. Releford is still learning, and if all you're going to do is play defense and not contribute offense, it's going to be that much harder to steal minutes from a guy that can score and play defense.
Little... we did see good things, but he's been hurt. Sure, you hope he steals Morningstar's minutes at some point. But he has to find his game legs and, he too, will have to learn Bill Self defense.
